LeanHQ Pre-Accounting

Stop piecing your month together.

Invoices, receipts, bank statements. LeanHQ turns the paperwork into organised records, suggests transaction matches, and puts unresolved items in one place. Review the details instead of building everything from scratch.

Built for Indian businesses. Designed for the work before the books.

The problem

Having the documents isn't the same as having the work done.

The supplier invoice is in a folder. The payment is on the bank statement. The tax receipt is somewhere else.

You still have to enter the details, connect the records, and work out what's missing. LeanHQ brings those pieces together, so preparing the information is less of a job in itself.

One Upload

Drop in the paperwork. Start with a prepared record.

LeanHQ identifies the document type and routes it to the right place. You don't have to decide which register to open before getting started.

Prepared, not typed

You check the details. You don't type them.

For supplier invoices, LeanHQ extracts the details, recalculates the totals, and proposes the relevant TDS treatment for review. Expense receipts are read and categorised.

You check the prepared information instead of typing every field into a blank form. AI-read documents stay in review until a person verifies them.

Bank matching

Don't explain the same payment every month.

Start by matching bank entries to the invoices, bills and receipts behind them.

For transactions that still need an explanation, LeanHQ uses rules you've already confirmed or proposes a category and description for you to review. Confirm a recurring pattern and it becomes a rule the system reuses. That familiar subscription or salary payment doesn't become a fresh investigation every time.

An explanation stays distinct from a document match. Giving a transaction a category never pretends the supporting paperwork exists.

One list

See what still needs you. In one list.

Documents awaiting review, bank entries needing a decision, unlinked remittances and outstanding tax items, without checking every register separately.

Your Home page brings the open work together, alongside document processing, bank coverage and upcoming statutory dates.

Resolve the item. Update the connected record.

When you confirm a bank match, the related record updates too: a bill is marked paid, an invoice records the receipt, a tax-payment receipt is marked remitted. The connection stays with the records, so there is less to reconstruct the next time a question comes up.

The specifics

The details that make service-business finances less straightforward.

Paid by overseas clients?

The amount invoiced and the amount reaching your bank don't always look the same.

Connect foreign-remittance documents to the invoices they settle. Keep the amount received, bank charges and exchange-rate difference in view, so a transfer reduced by fees is easier to explain.

Preparing GST and TDS information?

Use the entries already in your registers to prepare supported GST and TDS return data.

Keep deductions connected to their payment receipts, see flagged gaps, and export supported formats for review before filing. You shouldn't have to rebuild the same information into another working sheet.

How it works

From a pile of files to a clearer view of the month.

01

Upload what you have.

Bring in invoices, receipts, statements and supporting documents through One Upload.

02

Review what's prepared.

Check the extracted details, proposed coding and transaction matches. Correct what needs changing and confirm what's right.

03

Work through what's left.

Use the needs-you list to resolve outstanding items and keep the connected records up to date. Confirmed patterns make the next round less repetitive.

Where it sits

Keep your accountant. Keep your books. Cut the preparation work.

LeanHQ handles the layer between the paperwork and the accounting process. It does not replace your accountant's judgment or become your general ledger. Tally or Zoho Books remain the system where your books are maintained.

The job here is to make the records more organised, the transactions easier to explain, and the unresolved work easier to find.

Questions

Before you upload.

Does LeanHQ replace Tally or Zoho Books?

No. LeanHQ prepares and reviews financial records before they reach your books. It does not produce a trial balance or a profit-and-loss statement. Your accounting system remains the ledger of record.

Does it sync records into our accounting software automatically?

Not yet. Direct Zoho Books sync and Tally-ready voucher exports are on the roadmap. Today, LeanHQ focuses on document preparation, transaction matching, review, and supported compliance exports.

Can we upload invoices created elsewhere?

Yes. Upload existing invoices for AI-assisted capture. You can also create and issue invoices within LeanHQ.

Will uploaded documents be accepted automatically?

No. AI-read documents enter a review state, and a person verifies the information before confirming it. LeanHQ prepares the record; it does not remove the need to check it.

Does LeanHQ file our returns?

It prepares supported GST and TDS return data and exports. Review and filing remain separate steps. Use the prepared information and flagged issues as part of your accountant's review, not as a substitute for it.

Make month-end a review. Not a reconstruction.

Start with the paperwork you already have. Let LeanHQ prepare the details and bring the open items into view.
